Got Jealousy?
So, what do humans and the frilled lizard have in common? Sometimes, when we're afraid, we both puff out our faces and ears and try to act really, really scary. The fear in jealousy is so strong that it can sometimes make us react to situations like a frilled lizard, just to make sure that our partner gets the point that we don't want them to stray.
And how many times has that ever made your beloved admire you more? Probably not many...
People use the word 'jealousy' as a feeling, but Marshall Rosenberg, the creator of Nonviolent Communication would probably say that it's a thought.
For example, 'abandoned' is a thought -- it's your negative evaluation of somebody leaving you. But what if they IRS abandoned you and your audit? Is that necessarily negative? No.... so 'abandoned' is an evaluation of, or thought about, somebody leaving you.
In the same way, 'jealousy' isn't really a feeling -- it's a thought. The event may be your beloved paying attention to somebody else in a way that you think means s/he may leave you (or that they love another person more than you). It's the meaning that we attach to the event that we label 'jealousy.'
The true feeling underneath jealousy is usually fear--that your beloved will leave you for another person. And fear is usually uncomfortable, if not down right painful. It awakens our limbic brain (the reptilian brain) and puts us in a fight or flight mode. We yell, we threaten, we puff out our ears and try to look real scary and go, "Bwah! Bwah!!" and generally look real stupid.
So, when you feel triggered by the fear that underlies jealousy, it would help to call it what it is. Call it fear. Say to your partner: "Honey,
(Observation) "When I saw you talking to your ex this evening...
(Feelings) "I felt frightened...
(Needs) "Because I have a need for emotional safety.
(Request) "Would you be willing to tell me truthfully if you're falling back in love with her?"
Those are the four steps to speaking honestly using Nonviolent Communication. It's scary to put your heart out to your beloved and expose yourself as being afraid. Most people don't like to admit they're scared. But isn't it a lot better than fighting like a frilled lizard with your lover?
Asking the question in the nonviolent manner doesn't imply that your lover did anything wrong. You're taking full responsibility for the feeling of fear, not blaming them for having done anything 'bad.'
And, of course, this is just one way to ask one little question about your feelings of jealousy, but the issue may be bigger than that. It may be useful to sit and look at where in your life somebody did leave you (or worse, didn't love you but didn't leave you, either). Those old wounds may be coming up now for you to look at, but your present lover may not be doing anything out of line.
And always give your inner reptilian brain -- your inner frilled lizard that puffs out its cheeks and tries to look scary -- a lot of love. You developed that response because at some time you had a beautiful need for safety in a relationship that wasn't met. Your frilled lizard is just trying to protect you in your current relationship.

5 Tips For Identity Theft Protection
Its that time of year.
This is when we all start getting those emails that want to steal our secret codes and passwords. You know the ones: Your Account Is About To Be Closed, Theres A Block On Your Account,, Congratulations Youve Won The Lottery (that you never entered).and my favorite Could You Help Me Claim My Funds?.
This is also the time of year when we start shopping for gifts and the last thing you need is for your bank or credit card accounts to be stolen by cyber grifters. They are counting on some of us to follow the instructions in the email.
First and foremost, DONT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EMAIL! If you think there might be a problem, access the account in question as you normally do on your PC and not with the link supplied in the phony email.
Ive had some very authentic looking email supposedly from banks, that even went so far as to copy the colors of the bank logo and stationery style. But, dont fall for the scam. In fact, dont even open the email, because many are just set to loose a virus program on your computer by being opened. Simply forward the suspicious email to the spoof email address supplied by your bank, or credit card company.
Identity Theft is a worldwide epidemic. According to the Better Business Bureau and Javelin Research, almost 9 million Americans fell prey to identity theft this year with fraud costing businesses and individuals over $56 billion dollars.
There are ways to reduce your chances of identity theft:
1. Understand debit card dangers: When it comes to fraud, debit cards carry much greater personal liability than credit cards, depending on how quickly you report the loss of the card. If you fail to report unauthorized use within 60 days of receiving your bank statements, you could lose all the money in the account and be held responsible for the amount of money that has been tapped from your line of credit.
2. Rethink check writing: That little slip of paper has way too much information. Some experts advise against check writing because it gives away your address, bank account number, signature and license number to complete strangers. On top of that, theres no federal legislation to limit your liability for forged checks (each state has its own set of rules). Experts advise that you look into automating your bill paying.
3. Secure your mail: Your mailbox is a goldmine of information. Between bank statement, bills, and all those pre-approved credit card offers, your mailbox is loaded with personal data which identity thieves can use to easily apply for a credit card in your name. Unless you diligently check your credit report, you may never even know about it. One way to avoid this is to have your mailbox under lock and key, but most of us in Santa Clarita have our mailboxes at the curb in front of our house and the postman frowns on carrying dozens and dozens of keys around. The other solution is to have a rented mailbox, or to foil dumpster-diving thieves by buying a shredder and destroy documents before discarding.
4. Go virtual: For shopping online, there are virtual card numbers. These are randomly generated credit card numbers that are disposable and that on-line shoppers use once and throw away. Its linked directly to your real credit card account so purchases show up on your monthly bill. The service is easy to use and its FREE! All you need to do is register with companies offering the virtual card, and they are MBNA, Discover, and Citigroup.
5. Create an emergency identity kit: Would you know how to contact your credit card company in an emergency? Create an emergency kit that contains: your account number, expiration date, issuing company name, and emergency contact number for each card you own. While youre at it, make copies of your drivers license, social security card, birth certificate and passport and store them in a locked box or file cabinet, or a safe deposit box. I like the safe deposit box best, because this gives you protection in the event of a catastrophe such as fire, earthquake, etc.
This may all seem like a lot of unnecessary work, but if youre ever the victim of identity theft even just once youll realize that its well worth the effort.
Many of us forget that were it not for what we carry in our wallets or in our purses, were all John and Jane Does if we cant speak due to injury or are unaccompanied by someone who knows us. How much less stressful is it to know that in a bank box, no matter where you are, there are items that can verify your identity. Better to be safe, than sorry!

Web Sites That Specialize in Contacting Russian Women
The Internet has revolutionized the way people live. According to a current poll, seventeen percent of people in America (men and women) are now meeting on the Internet.
The number of Russian women seeking a foreign husband has been estimated to be about 1% of available women. This is hardly the revolution that the media is making it out to be. However, it is one of the hottest topics of discussion in Russia today.
There are about 250 million people living in the countries making up the former Soviet Union. Substantially more than half of them are women, and approximately twenty percent of those are single and available women.
That means that there are about 250,000 women seeking Western men for husbands at any one time.
250 million people times 50%, the percentage that are women times 20% that are single and available times 1% looking for Western men.
That number may be low, especially considering that there are over a million websites dedicated to this topic. But at any rate, it gives us an idea of the magnitude of the number of women in the potential database.
If you have visited a number of these sites, you realize how many women are cataloged on each one. Many sites have ten thousand or more women listed on them. There is probably a substantial overlap, where the same woman is listed on more than one website.
However, the sheer number of women makes it difficult, if not mathematically impossible, to be able to wade through the entire database.
Consequently, you must develop some kind of search criteria when searching the database of women who are cataloged on websites. Most websites have a search engine, which allows you to apply criteria to narrow your search. This is an extremely useful tool, which you should be using.

Keeping the Stress Level Low
The worst thing that could happen to any bride on her wedding day is have a nervous breakdown! A wedding is certainly one of the most significant events in any persons life. But it doesnt mean that one has to spend each and very waking hour worrying about it. Here are some tips on how to minimize the stress when planning your wedding.
1. Get all the help you can get. If your budget allows, hire a wedding planner. There is no one that could help you best than someone who knows the ins and outs of planning a wedding. However, if you do not have the money to spare, seek help from family and friends. Make sure that you assign important tasks especially during the day of the wedding and that you assign them ahead of time.
2. Be organized. Write down all your TO DOs and assign each one a target completion date. Be realistic with the timelines. Allow some buffer when assigning your target date. Keep the list current. Mark the tasks that get completed and add new ones that come up. And avoid making major changes to your plan a couple of months before the wedding
3. As much as possible avoid straying from your schedule. Allow yourself plenty of time to complete each of the tasks.
4. Prioritize! Do the most important things first select a date and an alternate date, select a wedding planner, make the necessary ceremony and reception venue reservations. The earlier these things are completed the better.
5. Set a budget and stick to it. Resist the urge to overspend and avoid making unnecessary splurges.
6. Select your vendors well. Get recommendations from family, friends and co-workers. Pick vendors that have been in the business for a good number of years and those with good track records.
7. Agree on the details and the terms with your vendors and put them in writing. Changes should be discussed and agreed to and reflected in the document.
8. Choose your battles wisely. And if possible, have your wedding planner fight your battles for you.
9. Take some time off from the preparation. Go on a night out with the girls, have a romantic dinner with your fiance, go to the spa and the salon, do some shopping. In short, do something to help you relax and recharge.
10. Call each of the vendors a couple of days before the wedding to review with them the important details, the date, the time and the location. If you do not have a wedding planner, assign someone to be in-charge of coordinating with the vendors on the day of the wedding. Give him/her a copy of vendors contact information to bring to the wedding.
11. Probably the most important advice we could give a bride DONT SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF! Learn to compromise. Sometimes things dont go the way you want to.

Things Women Want In A Man
I met Jessica, a 24 year old law student who modeled lingerie to help defray the costs of her education, a few months ago in a nice lounge. I was there with
a couple friends of mine, enjoying a nice bottle of Pinot Noir wine. One of the things that a Date Pro has is the ability to be aware of his environment,
even if part of his focus is somewhere else. In this case I was focused on conversation with my friends. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a man walk
up to a very attractive young lady at the bar, offering to buy her a drink. She wasn't interested so she thanked him for the offer and continued munching on
what appeared to be an appetizer.
This man wouldn't take "no" for an answer and started giving her a hard time. I could tell from her body language that she was ready to do something drastic
such as ask for security or start yelling at him. Here's a pointer for you: one of the best ways to meet a woman is to rescue her from a man or group of
men that she has zero interest in. After some practice in reading bodylanguage, you'll pick up on this. It was my cue to leave my friends for a moment and
see if I could do my good deed for the evening. So I walked toward her and the man that would not leave her alone.
"Excuse me honey," I said innocently, but deeply, firmly, and quite loud, making sure that I made eye contact with her so she knew exactly what I was trying
to do. "I'm so sorry I didn't see you when I walked in here, I ran into Ken and Ronald and ended up chatting with them. When they saw me they were like
'Hey Rod! Over here!' Since I didn't see you I hung out with them for a while. I think I need to be flogged, though I think I prefer a spanking (smirk or
eye wink)."
You'll notice that I found a way to include my name in my initial approach so she would know my name. A couple of seconds passed and those two seconds felt
like an hour as I wasn't sure if she would play along, not that it really mattered. Most women usually do because they pick up on subtle clues, cues, and
hints far better than men do. This was one of those times. "I was wondering where you were honey," she said, trying her hardest not to laugh.
"Oh," started the man who was bothering her, "If you were expecting someone why didn't you say anything?"
I didn't want his badgering to continue so I simply looked at him, then looked at her, then looked at him and said, "Hey buddy, if you don't mind, I'd like
to spend a moment alone with my fiance."
He knew that he had lost. "Oh man, sorry. Later." And off he went.
As he was making his way out of our little circle, I leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Ok, once he's out of sight, I'm going back to my friends. By the
way, my name really IS Rod." Then I grabbed a stool, gave her a wink, and she leaned into my direction and whispered, "Thank you." Sometimes the damsel in
distress that you saved appreciates what you did and prefers that you be on your way, but sometimes they don't want you to leave. "My name is Jessica," she
continued, "Do you really have to leave? Why don't you hang out for a bit?" Aha!
"So Rod, what is it that you do?", Jessica asked with a sincerity not usually found in these kind of places. Normally I don't like telling women what I do
for a living until after a few dates, but it's only a guideline, not some rule written in stone. I like to go with my gut most of the time, since that is a
sign that a person's game has evolved. Jessica was beautiful and she had this very innocent, cute face that made me want to protect her, this was
evolutionary psychology and biology at work, not my inner wussbag coming out. One has to keep that under control at all times during an initial meeting with
a stranger.
"Let's just say that I help men figure out what they really want out of life," I said with a grin on my face. She accepted that for the time being and we
began talking about that. Eventually I asked her what she thought a healthy, attractive, mature woman wants in a man. "Leave out the stuff about 'I like to
laugh' or a 'man who knows how to treat a lady' type stuff. I'm looking for specifics."
"Well," Jessica started, "You observed one thing we don't like and that is to keep trying to pick up on us after we've made it clear we're not interested.
Sometimes I want to go out and not want to meet new people. Sometimes I just want a drink or dance or just hang out. I hate it when a man is too pushy."
"Please continue, this is fascinating," I remarked.
"I have a part-time job that pays really well, so I don't need a man to help me out financially in any way," Jessica continued on with a look of serious
passion in her face. "You know what I think most 'healthy' women want? They want a man who can take care of himself. He might even be broke today but if
he has a career or is in school or started a new business, a woman can see that he has ambition and potential. I think a lot of women look more into the
future than men do. A man should be financially stable. That doesn't mean he has to be rich, he should be good with his money and not spend it on frivolous
things."
"You mean like a Coach hand bag, Mac make up, or Jimmy Choo shoes right?" I interjected with a teasing tone to my voice. Jessica giggled.
"Something like that, silly," I could tell Jessica was a fun gal. "I know one thing I like is when my man plans out a whole evening for both us. I like it
when he plans ahead. I have a friend named Monica who was dating this really unattractive man, but she didn't care. If you can make her laugh she is all
yours. Tell your clients that if a woman is laughing at his jokes then she likes him."
"So," I chimed in, "What you're really looking for is a confident man who has a plan for his life, has potential, a sense of humor, financially stable, and
knows how to make a woman feel sexy and good, right?"
"Absolutely!" Jessica exclaimed.

for a living until after a few dates, but it's only a guideline, not some rule written in stone.

Advantages and Disadvantages of doing Data Entry versus OCR
Want a digital format of the hard copy of any document? OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology can be the right option. Changes are taking place in the field of Data Entry service with the improvement of modern technology. Apparently, you may think OCR service as a substitute of data entry service, however, OCR services come with both advantages and disadvantages.
Overview of OCR
Optical Character Recognition is a modern technology for digital replication. OCR technology comes with software, hardware and an additional circuit in the computer to execute conversion process. OCR software can not only read the fonts but also recognize line breaks in a document. The process of OCR is quite simple and easy to manage. The entire process of converting hard copy of a document into electronic document may take only a few seconds.
Advantages of OCR
If you are looking for only converting any document into editable digital format then there is nothing better than OCR services. Optical Character Recognition process saves the time and effort of developing a digital replica of any document. No need to type characters manually on a digital file. Just place the hard copy of the document inside a scanner and get the digital format of that document with the help of OCR software.
With OCR process you can convert a document in several electronic formats like Microsoft Word, Excel, HTML, PDF, Text or Rich Text formats.
Documents, which are converted through OCR process, are editable and allow the user to modify the content. Compared to manual data entry service the cost of OCR service is quite less for developing electronic replica of any document. OCR service proved better than data entry service for the organizations, which are engaged in developing electronic copy of printed books.
Disadvantages of OCR Service
There are several disadvantages of OCR service regarding the cost as well as the process of recognizing the characters. Initially, the cost of developing replica through OCR process may seem lucrative but if you consider the cost of entire OCR system life cycle, the cost will be much higher than data entry service. Correcting OCR errors counts more cost than preparing a digital format of the document.
High accuracy OCR software can read more than 400 characters/second, approximately, and generates less number of OCR errors compared to any ordinary OCR software. Therefore, if you are looking for OCR process you have to maintain a separate workstation for correcting OCR errors.
OCR software is not efficient in recognizing the handwriting and the fonts, which are quite similar to handwriting. In such cases manual typing plays better role than OCR process.
How efficient is Data Entry Service than OCR?
Compared to ordinary OCR process, conversion life cycle cost is less in data entry service and it provides complete flexibility to data entry operators preparing digital documents from multiple formats like hard copy or audio files. Consider the service of medical transcription where you need to prepare digital documents from audio files. OCR cannot prepare digital document by scanning any audio files. In such services, data entry can prove better than OCR.
It has been found that for services like mailing list conversion or data extraction from the Internet, manual data entry services are still widely accepted across the industry. Data entry service comes with several levels staring from inserting raw data in a document to an error free document. OCR is efficient during the initial level of data entry service but cannot be a substitute of data entry service. However, the selection of a right service (Data Entry or OCR) depends on requirements of the job.
